Pain Management 

At Baylor Plano, we understand how debilitating chronic back, neck and leg pain can be. With advanced, compassionate care, our pain management doctors on our medical staff can create a customized pain management plan to help you get back to the normal activities of daily life. 

We believe the goal of pain management is to:

We help restore comfort through medication management and the use of:

  • X-ray guided injections: Using dye contrast and X-ray to guide location, pain management doctors can perform nerve blocks or apply an anesthetic/steroid combination to the source of pain.
  • Rhizotomy: A select group of patients may be candidates for rhizotomy, which heats the affected nerve, turning off its ability to transmit pain signals to the brain. 

These techniques are performed in an outpatient setting under moderate sedation or IV anesthesia and require a physician’s referral.
