Following a stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, or if you’re coping with a condition such as multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s disease or Guillain-Barre syndrome, our physical, occupational and speech therapists can help you regain as much function as possible.

Some people may have difficulty eating and drinking safely, and may need to regain strength and coordination for swallowing. Our speech-language pathologists are trained to use VitalStim®, a device that applies electrical stimulation to strengthen muscles required for eating and drinking safely. Other patients may work with our physical and occupational therapists for help with navigating uneven surfaces, walking or dressing.

Our Speech-Language Pathologists Treat:
  • Neurological impairments
  • Dysphagia
  • Aphasia
  • Verbal apraxia
  • Oral apraxia
  • Dysarthria
  • Cognitive linguistic deficits
Our Physical Therapists Treat:
  • Vestibular disorders, such as vertigo and vestibular neuritis
  • Postsurgical imbalance
  • Age-related equilibrium problems

Vestibular rehabilitation can help improve balance for life activities from tying shoes to grocery shopping, as well as patient education for safety and mobility skills

Our Occupational Therapists:
  • Assist you in improving activities of daily living such as dressing, handwriting, meal preparation and basic housekeeping.
  • Help you improve fine motor coordination and gripping.
  • Work with you to regain functional use of your arms and upper body.
  • Are uniquely trained to design and create customized splints for each patient
