Orthopaedic 

Following joint replacements, orthopaedic injuries or painful conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, our orthopaedic trained therapists, including certified hand therapists, can get you moving again. 

Our physical and occupational therapists:

Help you recover from:         

  • Rotator cuff/shoulder injuries including rotator cuff tendinitis and tears, shoulder tears and adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)
  • Back injuries such as herniated disc and back strain
  • Joint replacements including knees, hips, shoulders and fingers
  • Carpal tunnel
  • Fractures of all bones
  • Tendon/nerve damage including back injuries, ulna nerve entrapment, carpal tunnel, golfer’s elbow and tennis elbow 
Our certified hand therapists:

These specialized therapists have a minimum of five years experience in hand therapy, and have successfully passed a comprehensive test about the hands and upper extremities. They’re also uniquely qualified to design and create customized splints to enhance your healing. These skilled therapists treat a variety of conditions including: 

  • Flexor tendon injuries
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Fractures of the upper extremities (arms and hands)
  • Injuries resulting in nerve damage 

Scoliosis

We are specially trained in rehabilitation of the scoliosis patient. While under expert care at our nationally recognized Baylor Scoliosis Center, patients benefit from physical and occupational therapy. 

Our physical therapists help:
  • Reduce pain
  • Improve flexibility and range of motion
  • Build strength
  • Improve gait and mobility
  • Improve return to community and recreational activities 
Our occupational therapists help with activities of daily living, such as:
  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Grooming
  • Toileting
  • Meal preparation
