Focus On You

For Women For Life is a free women's health and wellness event offering education on healthy living, screenings, seminars and demonstrations. Join us this year and don't forget to invite your mom, daughters and friends!

Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano and THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano

Time: 7 a.m. - Noon

Screenings include:
  • Cholesterol/glucose*
  • Lung function
  • Bone density*
  • Blood pressure
  • Scoliosis
  • Thyroid*
  • Skin cancer* 
  • BMI/body fat

* Limited times available due to popularity of these screenings. Sign-in required at screening locations. All screenings are available on a first come, first served basis.

Other event activities include:

  • Heart-healthy cooking demonstration
  • Women's health seminars offered at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
  • "Ask the Physician" tables with family physicians and bariatric surgeons on the medical staff at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano and THE HEART HOSPITAL at Baylor Plano
  • Chair massages
  • On-site mammography appointment scheduling
  • Acid reflux, osteoporosis and migraine self-assessments
  • Da Vinci® Surgical System demonstration
  • Diabetes, breast cancer, self breast exam, weight loss surgery and nutrition education

Continental breakfast will be served and a complimentary shuttle will take guests between the two hospitals.

*For a more accurate reading on the cholestorol and glucose testing, do not eat or drink (except water and black coffee) after midnight if you are taking the cholesterol or glucose screening. You may take your regular medications as directed.

10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Regaining Control of Female Incontinence Seminar

11:45 a.m. - Noon Door Prize Drawings

Door prize drawings will be held in the main lobby of Baylor Plano on Level 1 and in the Auditorium on the 1st Floor of THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano.

Submit your event survey at either hospital location to be eligible for door prizes. Attend the drawing at the location where you turn in your survey. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.
