Hyperbaric Oxygen for Wound Healing
Wound care services are available to you at Baylor Plano through the Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano outpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation department.
When you arrive at Baylor Plano for wound care, you will be treated by a licensed therapy professional with specific training in wound care and treated with advanced wound care products.
Our desire at Baylor Plano is to facilitate rapid healing, reduce discomfort associated with open wounds, avoid unnecessary hospitalization, and lower the cost of care. We emphasize patient and family education. We also communicate on a consistent basis with referring physicians, keeping them informed of their patient’s assessment, treatment recommendations, and follow-up plan of care through regular reports.
On your first visit to Baylor Plano, you will receive a comprehensive evaluation of your wound. The assessment will include current status of the wound, your understanding of and ability to complete self-care, as well as an evaluation of systemic and local factors that may be affecting the healing process. We will monitor your progress closely, and will modify the treatment plan if needed.
