Heart Failure Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC) recognizes the hospital’s expertise in providing quality care to patients who are treated for heart failure. The SCPC is an international not-for-profit organization that focuses on transforming cardiovascular care by assisting hospitals in their efforts to create a culture of excellence that brings together quality, cost reduction and patient satisfaction. To receive accreditation, Baylor Waxahachie underwent a rigorous evaluation and improvement process confirming it was in compliance with the highest national standards of care for patients suffering from heart failure.

Patterned after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria and process, the Texas Award for Performance Excellence is an annual recognition of Texas organizations that have achieved performance excellence and applied outstanding quality principles in their day-to-day operations. Texas organizations who serve as role models for quality, customer satisfaction and performance excellence receive this prestigious award.
2012 Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospital®Baylor Waxahachie was ranked among the 100 top U.S. hospitals based on their overall organizational performance. The Thomson Reuters study evaluates performance in 10 areas: mortality; medical complications; patient safety; average patient stay; expenses; profitability; patient satisfaction; adherence to clinical standards of care; post-discharge mortality; and readmission rates for acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), heart failure and pneumonia. This was the second year in a row for Baylor Waxahachie to be ranked.
