I need information about...
Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie's history goes all the way back to 1914 with the opening of the area's first hospital, the Waxahachie Sanitarium. The opening of the medical facility brought needed health care services to the burgeoning Ellis County community.
In 1965, the Waxahachie Sanitarium was renamed the W.C. Tenery Hospital and was located in the current facility. For another 18 years the hospital served Ellis County communities as an independent entity until 1983 when it joined Baylor Health Care System.
Recently, Baylor Waxahachie reached a new milestone when it purchased 83 acres on the northwest corner of the I-35 and Hwy. 287 intersection. The land is earmarked for future expansion to meet the needs of the growing region served by Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie.
