Being active during your pregnancy has many health benefits. Prenatal exercise can help improve your circulation, relieve back pain and constipation, reduce swelling, and help you carry extra weight while pregnant. Regular exercise also can make getting back in shape after delivery quicker and easier. The Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center, located on the campus of Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, offers a variety of exercise programs especially designed for new mothers. Classes are offered to members at a variety of convenient times to fit your busy schedule.
The Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center offers a prenatal and postnatal exercise program called Moms on the Move; Baby Bear-a-Cudas, a water exploration for parents and children ages 6 to 36 months; and Community Prenatal Aquatic Exercise. Talk to your doctor before you start any exercise program during pregnancy and before you return to exercise after giving birth.
