Surgeons on the medical staff at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas have trained more than 35 transplant fellows who work at transplant programs around the world. Baylor's transplant program provides experience in multi-organ cadaveric procurements, laparoscopic live donor nephrectomies, hepatobiliary surgery and total pancreatectomies with autologous islet cell transplantation.
Baylor's training program for liver and kidney transplantation is approved by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons.
