Support to Patients Facing Transplantation

Because your emotional health can be critical to a successful transplant, Baylor patients receive a thorough pre-transplant assessment by a licensed master social worker. The goal of the social worker is to mobilize resources to support you and your family.

Our goal is to make sure that you and your caregiver have a full understanding of the challenges that may arise after transplantation and the resources available to assist you. We care for the emotional aspects of organ transplant by offering information, education and support groups throughout the transplant process. Our liver support group is facilitated by chaplains.
