Foundation Leadership 

 

The Baylor Health Care System Foundation is led by a strong team of individuals who are dedicated to the Baylor mission of service and experienced in all aspects of finance, gift planning and development. They also serve in many leadership roles within the community.

 

Rowland K. Robinson, President

Before joining Baylor, Robinson served as the President of the 2R Group, a company that provided business advisory services to private companies, their owners and financial institutions. Prior to leading the 2R Group, he spent 26 years in the banking industry serving in various executive level positions, which culminated with Bank of America in Dallas. Throughout his banking and consulting career, Robinson has played an active role in the Dallas community.

Clare Graca, Vice President, Development and Operations

Clare Graca’s previous work experience includes a role as Senior Vice President of Operations of a wholesale distribution business, Treasurer of a major hotel organization and Vice President of a major banking organization.

Cynthia Krause, Vice President, Gift Planning

Cynthia Krause has worked in the field of charitable gift planning with nonprofit organizations, individuals, families and family foundations for more than 20 years. She is the former president of Wilson & Krause, a philanthropic and family advisory services firm where she served or consulted with more than 50 nonprofits and foundations across the country.

Roxann Garcia, Director of Development

Roxann Garcia has extensive experience as a professional fundraiser holding previous positions including Director of Grant Planning and Development for HOSTS Learning in Vancouver, WA; Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for Austin College in Sherman, TX; Director of Foundation Relations and Grants Administration for the Dallas Museum of Art and Director of MBA Alumni Relations and Annual Funds for Southern Methodist University.

Ellen Dearman, Director of Development

Ellen Dearman is a native of Hattiesburg, MS. She graduated with a degree in business and a major in marketing from the University of Mississippi. Her first job with AT&T led to a successful sales career for 25 years. Dearman began as a customer educator but advanced through the company to hold multiple leadership roles primarily in sales and sales management.

Jayne Grimes, Director of Development

Jayne joins us from Carter Financial Management where she worked with individuals on their comprehensive financial needs – including investment management, estate planning, tax efficiency, risk management, and retirement needs. She began her career as a financial planner, practicing with local firms in many roles.

Perry Gross, M.D., Physician Liaison

Perry Gross, M.D. serves as the physician liaison for the Foundation. Dr. Gross is a family physician who has practiced in Dallas for more than 50 years, serving as chief of family practice at Baylor from 1974 to 2000 and as chairman of the Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas medical board in 1985.

Deborah Barker, Manager of Development

Prior to joining Baylor, Deborah worked with IBM for 27 years in numerous capacities; most recently as a liaison for a worldwide external project. She has been a long time volunteer for the EDS Byron Nelson Golf Championship and currently serves as the Standards Committee Chairperson. Deborah also served on the Board of Trustees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society from 1997 -2008. She was a founding member of the Links Fore Leukemia Golf Tournament, which raises funds for blood related cancers, and has been a major driver of the event since it’s inception in 1997.
