(DALLAS, Nov. 20, 2006)-Our Children's House at Baylor has expanded its outpatient services in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex with the recent opening of Our Children's House at Baylor in Rockwall, a pediatric outpatient therapy clinic located at 2455 Ridge Rd., Suite 255 in Rockwall.
The new facility is the eighth outpatient center of Our Children's House (OCH) at Baylor and is modeled after other OCH outpatient centers across the Metroplex.
Like its sister sites, OCH Rockwall serves children with a variety of special needs and offers physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy to Rockwall and the surrounding communities. In addition, OCH Rockwall offers feeding therapy and equipment assessments for children with wheelchairs, walkers and other assistive devices.
"OCH Rockwall provides convenient, close-to-home care for children with special needs and disabilities by experienced therapists who specialize in pediatrics," says Scott Peek, president, Baylor Specialty Health Centers. "In addition to providing quality patient care, bringing these services closer to the families that need them is our number one priority."
Krista Pendergrass of Greenville, Texas, whose son William receives speech and occupational therapy from OCH Rockwall, used to drive an hour and a half for therapy sessions twice a week. Now that OCH Rockwall has opened she says, "it has been better for all of us."
"Our commute has been significantly shortened and for busy families who need these types of services, convenient access to a center like this is such an advantage," says Pendergrass.
The 3,200-square-foot facility features 10 individual treatment spaces including a large therapy gym. OCH Rockwall is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
