Therapeutic Recreation, Sports and Outdoor Activities

Recreation, leisure, free time, play, fun, whatever someone may call it is very important to a person's physical and mental well being, both during rehabilitation and after returning to the community.

While in the hospital, patients work with therapeutic recreation specialists to explore past and new leisure activities. They are also offered many leisure opportunities through our "Discover Scuba" program and outdoor recreation/sports court, as well as through contact with community wheelchair sports, outdoor recreation organizations and many more.
