Baylor Grapevine's Cath Lab is dedicated solely to cardiac procedures such as angioplasties and stent placements and features the GE Innova® 2000 system. This all-digital imaging system allows blood vessels, stents, guidewires, and catheters to be seen with exceptional clarity and reduces a patient's exposure to radiation by 50 to 60 percent.

The Mennen Hemodynamic Monitoring System allows for real-time documentation and delivers a complete report, detailing all of the patient's cardiac information for physicians.

The GE Gemnet Archive System integrates with our in-house picture archiving communication system, or PACS, to store digital images and makes them available for immediate viewing by physicians at diagnostic viewing stations or by cardiac surgeons in the operating suite. Two open-heart surgical suites allow elective surgery to be ongoing and we still have a room available for emergencies or other critical issues that may develop.

With our cardiac rehabilitation program, patients can lesson their risk of future heart problems through exercise, diet and education classes. This program is carefully designed to accommodate the needs of every cardiac patient. Each week, participants attend three monitored exercise sessions, supervised by a physician and cardiac rehab nurse. Educational classes teach patients about cardiac disease risk factors, diet, stress management and provide emotional support.
