Before Your Delivery

As an expectant parent, you already know there's much to be done before the arrival of your baby.

We're pleased and honored to offer a variety of facilities and services to help make these coming months as stress-free and productive as possible. Take a look at what you can expect from us, as well as some tips on how to prepare for that special day.

Parent Education Classes at the Family Resource Center
Whether you are expecting your first child or already a parent, the Family Resource Center offers a variety of classes to fit every family. We provide comprehensive childbirth education designed to specifically meet the needs of growing families. Classes are taught by registered nurses, certified childbirth educators and certified lactation consultants.

Find a list of our classes and register on-line. Class space is limited, so we recommend that you register during your first trimester of pregnancy.

Tour Women's Services
Before you deliver, you and your family are invited to take a tour of the Women's Services area. Tours are included in the Prepared Childbirth class. If you are interested in touring our facility, please call (817) 424-4500 approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving to ensure room availability. Evenings and weekends are the most ideal times for tours.

Dedicated Ante-Partum Unit
The Ante-Partum Unit is for expectant women with high-risk pregnancies. Women who are admitted to the unit are considered at risk for pregnancy-related complications and require hospitalization prior to delivery. Perinatologists are available for patients with high risk pregnancies.

Make Admission Arrangements
To assist with your admission and billing, please help us with the following:

Please complete the patient registration form provided by your physician and return them with a photocopy of your driver's license or identification card and both sides of your insurance card. If you prefer you can also compete the form on-line.

Information that you are unsure of (such as physician's name) can be added later. We would like to receive this form by your third month of pregnancy so we may begin processing your admission paperwork before your delivery. You will receive a letter from the Maternity Financial Service Representative confirming out-of-pocket expenses so you may make financial arrangements prior to delivery.

If there is a change in your patient registration information, or if you do not have insurance and would like to arrange payments, please contact the Maternity Financial Service Representative at (817) 329-2663.
