THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano

We offer the first and only freestanding, full-service hospital in this region dedicated solely to heart and vascular health care. Created through a partnership between Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano and 86 cardiovascular physicians and surgeons practicing in North Texas, we offer medical quality combined with five-star service.

In addition to comprehensive inpatient and outpatient guest care, we feature a cardiac emergency department, advanced imaging department with a 64-slice CT scanner, on-site cardiac rehabilitation, three operating suites, an endovascular suite, an eight-bed post-anesthesia recovery unit, three electrophysiology labs and three cardiac catheterization labs.

THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano was designed with the needs of the heart and vascular patient in mind. Decentralized nursing stations located between every guest suite places members of the care team closer to the guest for responsive care delivery. A dedicated walking lane on each guest floor provides a safe walking zone for rehabilitation.

Instead of transporting our guests throughout the hospitals for tests and procedures, in many cases our specially trained staff brings advanced equipment to the guest suite. Each of the 68 suites is a large, private room that can be quickly converted into a cardiac intensive care environment if necessary.

The guest suites all feature floor-to-ceiling windows, wood laminate floors and 32-inch flat-screen televisions in a completely wireless environment. The in-suite television system offers local programming and health information, as well as the ability for your physician to show you video results of your tests and selected procedures to help you better understand your condition. If you have friends or family members who would like to stay with you in your suite, a full-sized sofa in each suite converts to a bed for comfort.

Free valet parking in front of THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano, as well as free parking in a covered multi-level garage adjacent to the hospital’s north side is available for your convenience. A professionally trained concierge is located on each floor to assist you during your stay.

Guests also enjoy a special dining experience at THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano. An executive chef has designed a heart-healthy menu for guests and their family members, customized with any necessary dietary restrictions your physician may have ordered. Within 45 minutes of placing your order, a tuxedo-attired server will deliver your meal. We also feature dining at the Plano Perkway & Gift Shop where we proudly brew Starbucks^® coffee and offer a variety of food and beverage choices, as well as variety of gift items. The hospital’s main dining venue, The Heart Rock Café, is also located on the first floor of the hospital.
