Outpatient Services

Behavioral Health Outpatient Services at Baylor All Saints Medical Center are located on the second floor in the main hospital. We offer adults, ages 18 and older, with a psychiatric and/or chemical dependency diagnosis an array of behavioral health outpatient programs. All programs are physician directed and utilize an interdisciplinary treatment approach.

Chemical Dependency Partial Hospital Program
The full-day chemical dependency program operates Monday through Friday and provides a highly structured, physician-directed treatment where adults may begin or continue the recovery process from addictive substances. Family members are encouraged to be actively involved in the treatment process and to attend the weekly family group. Treatment is based on the principles of the 12-step recovery program and incorporates an introduction to self-help groups such as AA, NA and Al-Anon, which are considered key to the recovery process and relapse prevention.

Intensive Outpatient Program
Monday through Friday, we also offer day and evening psychiatric, chemical dependency, and dual diagnoses intensive outpatient programs (IOP). The IOP are designed for adults who are able to maintain daily functioning in the workplace, with the therapeutic structure and support provided by the daily program. In many cases, early intervention and treatment in IOP may prevent an inpatient admission and subsequent lost time from work. All programs include weekly aftercare groups.

Psychiatric Partial Hospital Program
This Monday through Friday, all-day intensive program is designed for adults with primary psychiatric and/or diagnosis who do not require a 24-hour, medically monitored environment. The program, overseen by medical professionals, focuses on solutions to the symptoms causing the most disruption in daily living, such as anger, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and ineffective coping skills. Through group therapy and educational sessions, patients develop the skills to make changes in their behavior. Family members are invited to participate in the weekly family group.
