Psychiatric Services - Understanding the Mind
Baylor adheres to the philosophy that there is a biochemical basis for most psychiatric disorders and that people diagnosed with a psychiatric illness will respond well to a combined medical, biopsychiatric, and cognitive group therapy approach.
People and their families can feel motivated to change unhealthy behaviors when they're in a healthy environment that fosters healthy psychosocial and relationship skills. Baylor helps to create this environment with acceptance, empathy, structure, and opportunities.
The Baylor Psychiatric Program
