Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation Allen 

The skilled therapists at the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation (BIR) Outpatient Services clinic in Allen offer a variety of therapy services for patients suffering from physical conditions related to aging, gender, illness and injury.

Our goal is to provide the high quality treatment and compassionate service needed to improve quality of life.

Monday - Thursday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Our Staff

Center Manager/Physical Therapist: David Thomas, PT, DPT
David receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Hardin-Simmons University. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and of the organization’s Texas chapter. David sees a wide range of conditions from orthopedics and sports medicine to vestibular.  He enjoys providing quality care to his patients through manual therapy and patient-specific exercise, and promoting independence with exercises to return to function.

Laura Patterson, PT, DPT

Laura received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas and her B.S.  in health and exercise science from the University of Oklahoma.  Laura is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and of the organization’s Texas chapter.  She is certified in performing functional capacity evaluations and is interested in orthopedics and manual therapy techniques. 

Taryn Cocallas, PT, DPT

Taryn holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University (Downers Grove, Illinois) and a Bachelor of Science in athletic training exercise science from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her clinical interests include a wide variety of orthopedic and sports-related rehabilitation, and she is trained in functional capacity evaluations.
