Baylor McKinney was recognized for achieving excellence in performance on its accountability measures for conditions including heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.

Primary Stroke Center

Baylor McKinney is certified as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission, the nation's leading accreditor of health care organizations. Primary Stroke Center certification means Baylor McKinney has demonstrated the ability to provide the complete continuum of care for improving outcomes for people who suffer strokes.

Heart Failure Accreditation

Heart failure is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the United States. Baylor McKinney has demonstrated its expertise and commitment to quality patient care by meeting or exceeding a wide set of stringent criteria and undergoing an onsite review by a team of Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care accreditation review specialists.

Chest Pain Center Accreditation

Hospitals that have received Chest Pain accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care have achieved a higher level of expertise in dealing with patients who arrive with symptoms of a heart attack. They emphasize the importance of standardized diagnostic and treatment programs that provide more efficient and effective evaluation, as well as more appropriate and rapid treatment of patients with chest pain and other heart attack symptoms.

ACR Mammography Accreditation

Baylor Medical Center at McKinney has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in mammography as the result of a review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This accreditation affirms the commitment of staff and physicians on the medical staff to provide women in our community with high quality imaging and breast care services.

LEED Certification

Baylor McKinney has received LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Certification. LEED-certified buildings save money and resources through design and operational efficiencies, and have a positive impact on the health of occupants, while promoting renewable, clean energy.

Corporate Performance Award

Baylor McKinney was chosen by the McKinney Economic Development Corporation for their Corporate Performance Award at the Annual McKinney Chamber Community Awards. Baylor McKinney was chosen for this award based on the positive impact the hospital makes on our community.

Bill Aston Quality Summit Award Winner

Baylor Health Care System's annual Bill Aston Quality Summit Awards honor Bill Aston, a former longtime board member and champion for safe, quality patient care. In anticipation of the awards ceremony, hospitals across the Baylor system submit quality improvement projects that align with Baylor's four pillars of excellence: people, quality, service and finance. In 2014, Baylor Medical Center at McKinney team took home first place in the finance pillar for its work on reducing readmissions. The project led to improved patient care and outcomes, as well as financial savings.

Momentum Award

The Dallas Regional Chamber honored Baylor Medical Center at McKinney with a 2012 “Momentum Award” for its commitment to the vitality of the region through job growth, location and expansion activities.
