Heart failure is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the United States. Baylor McKinney has demonstrated its expertise and commitment to quality patient care by meeting or exceeding a wide set of stringent criteria and undergoing an onsite review by a team of Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care accreditation review specialists.
Hospitals that have received Chest Pain accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care have achieved a higher level of expertise in dealing with patients who arrive with symptoms of a heart attack. In 2014, Baylor Medical Center at McKinney team took home first place in the finance pillar for its work on reducing readmissions.
